Our membership year goes from January to January. The cost for an annual membership is $50.00.

There are currently four categories of membership:

  1. Full Members (Voting):

To become a Full Member, a Person must:
a. be a farmer or rancher and meet the requirements of BC Provincial regulations for farm
status;
b. submit an application to the Institute Board;
c. agree to conform to and abide by the bylaws of the Institute and regulations made under
the Act; and
d. pay the annual membership fees for Full Members.

2) Associate Member (Non-Voting):

To become an Associate Member; a Person must:
a. support the objects of the Institute;
b. submit an application to the Institute Board;
c. agree to conform to and abide by the bylaws of the Institute and regulations made under
the Act; and
d. pay the annual membership fees for Associate Members.

3) Life Members (Voting):

To become a Life Member, a Person must:
a. have been a Full Member for 15 years;
b. submit an application to the Board;
c. agree to conform to and abide by the bylaws of the Institute and regulations made under
the Act; and
d. pay the annual membership fees for a Life Member

4) Honourary Members (Non-voting):

A Person may become an Honourary Member if the Voting Members at a general meeting pass a
resolution recognizing the contributions of the person to the Institute or its objects. This is a non-voting position, no fee.

Membership is easy:

1) Fill out a membership form

2) Pay your Annual Membership Dues of $50.00 (cheques or cash only at this time). A receipt will be provided.

3) Bring both membership dues and membership form to a monthly meeting or mail it in.
