The CVFI offers two annual bursaries. Both are available to Comox Valley students residing with their family and/or their family resides within the Comox Valley and who have proof of registration in post secondary studies at a University, College, Technical School or similar institution for the upcoming school year beginning in September of that year. Preference is given to students pursuing agricultural studies.
- The Roger Demong Family Memorial Bursary worth $600.00. The Comox Valley Farmers Institute was entrusted by the Demong Society to manage and administer this bursary. The bursary was formed as a memorial to Roger Demong, his wife Marion, and their three young children who all died in a tragic car accident in 1980. Roger was the Comox Valley District agriculturist for many years and was passionate about composting and promoting the recycling of our organic waste stream back onto farmland.
- The Comox Valley Farmers Institute Bursary worth $800.00. This bursary is offered and administered by the CVFI with the hopes of encouraging our youth to enter farming and agriculture.
Applications for students entering post secondary education in September 2022 are due no later than August 1, 2022. The bursary applications are reviewed by the CVFI bursary committee and will be awarded in late August. Please see the respective application packages below for application criteria.
